Club News:

7/14/08

Our newest club project is to build a nostalgic show car from any of the many kits available.  Alterations will be held at a minimum to assure we get them finished in a reasonable amount of time.  Good luck to all the participants.   We will post the results in the fall of 2008.

11/14/07

We have held very successful  ModCon shows in the years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005, growing and expanding with each year but presenting us with new challenges at the same time.  We have enjoyed putting on the events and appreciate those who have attended, donated and sponsored us each time.  We hope those that have participated had a great time talking shop with builders, browsing the large vendor area and enjoying friendly competition with other enthusiasts in our region for the past 10 years.

We are meeting as usual each month discussing model building techniques, current and future projects and incorporating new members into the mix.  Our meetings and the desire to build for fun keep us together and forever learning. Many members have expressed concern about the difficulty of putting on a show due to the declining sponsorship over the past few years in not only our show, but nearly every show out there.

This along with our simple goal of staying together to build models prevents us from putting together another ModCon at this time.  We will keep posting updates and photos as time goes so keep visiting us.

Please email us at the link below with comments about the show or suggestions for future events.

Thanks.

Meetings can be serious...

NOT!

About NCWVSM:

The North Central West Virginia Scale Modelers club is a non-profit organization of  model builders interested in many different areas of the hobby.  Our membership represents nearly every scale modeling subject matter using mediums such as plastic, resin, vinyl, wood and metal.  We were founded in the summer of 1997 although many of our members have been building for a number of years.  We provide a means of exchanging ideas and sharing techniques with others interested in Aircraft, Automotive, Diorama, Figure, Foreign-Exotic, Military, Race, Sci-Fi, Truck and other modeling types.  In 1998, we began holding a contest and show in Morgantown, West Virginia that has grown into a highly regarded event, drawing participants and vendors throughout the eastern US.
